What clients and colleagues have to say

We hired Amy to design an addition to our home — including a new primary suite, an additional guest bedroom, expanded kitchen and new sunroom — and the result exceeded everything we could visualize on paper. She took a space that felt sectioned off with low ceilings and transformed it into something open and more voluminous, without losing any of the home's warmth or character. The use of step-downs and varied ceiling heights changed the entire feeling of the house, architectural decisions that we truly understood and appreciated once we were in the space.
Beyond the design itself, she was responsive, met every timeline, and stayed within budget. She also pushed us — and the builder — to make the right long-term decisions. When the contractor recommended building part of the addition on piers, she advocated for a proper foundation instead, which meant better insulation and a more stable structure that won't shift and misalign windows and doors over time. That kind of thinking made a real difference.
She brought an environmental awareness to material choices, was a genuine pleasure to work with, and has a great sense of humor to boot. She is a true professional who was instrumental to the entire process. We’ve already recommended her to others and would hire her again without hesitation.
I have worked with Amy for many years. Aside from being a wonderful person, she has been an integral part of my team. Amy has a great sense of design, a deep understanding of building codes, and is phenomenal at working through the nitty gritty details.
She has been a true pleasure to work with and I'm happy to now also call her a friend. I highly recommend Amy for anyone looking for an experienced and delightful Architect.

We hired Amy Moses to collaborate on construction drawings for two different projects for which we needed architectural sign-off for building departments. The first project was a substantial renovation and addition to an 1860's Kingston home, and the next project was new construction of a modern mountainside "tiny home".
We are a husband and wife team who have been in the design industry for 30 years + and have worked with a myriad of architects and designers. And, frankly, as people with strong opinions, it's probably fair to say we may be challenging clients sometimes! Amy's straightforward and pragmatic approach to working with us was a very natural fit. Her expertise and insights greatly improved our design and the function of the spaces. Amy definitely has a deep well of knowledge of her craft and communicates with great skill. She alway made herself available when needed and was unflagging in her patience. We hope to bring her on for future projects.

We were lucky enough to collaborate with Amy Moses on two very different projects at our home. First, she designed a beautiful and functional garage that regularly entices passers-by to stop and ask who designed our barn. It is sited on a tricky spot in our property, and Amy seamlessly coordinated her work with the engineer and builder, making the entire process easy for us.
She then designed a new kitchen for our 1840's farmhouse. The age and footprint of our home required creative thinking as well as deep knowledge of antique construction and modern design. She offered us several amazing options for reconfiguring our space, and the result is both stunning and a joy to use. Working with Amy was an absolute delight.
The key to a successful project is collaboration and communication. Building systems are becoming more and more complicated and being able to communicate problems and find solutions is a must. Amy is fantastic at both, working with her is always a pleasure.
